Good old fashioned service. Equipment for the 21st century.
From a blank slate in 2013 the concept of Volt Mowing was born. We didn’t even have a business name back then, but the goal was clear - to create a lawn and garden maintenance service that was simply better. Where the norm was to continue relying on century-old technology, we searched for a solution for the new century. Lithium battery technology was progressing at a rapid rate, so the decision was made to import a commercial grade Mean Green lithium push mower from the U.S. It was not only the very first Mean Green machine in Australia, but to date the only Mean Green push mower imported into Australia! The Mean Green proved itself as a rock solid machine and was used in a full time commercial setting for the next 6 years!
We also imported commercial lithium hedger and line trimmer from CORE Outdoor Power in the U.S. Along with a lithium battery blower sourced locally we cemented our place in history as the very first commercial contracting service in Australia to offer a 100% lithium electric lawn and garden maintenance service!
Larger manufacturers started to catch up and Husqvarna released a range of commercial handheld tools which we invested in as soon as they were available in Australia.
We had now been operating for almost 7 years and lithium outdoor power equipment had again progressed in leaps and bounds and it was time for us to make the next step so a range of new equipment including the Rasion 2 self-propelled mower was purchased from French company Pellenc in March 2020.
Over the years the demand for our services grew, we took on large strata contracts and required larger equipment to service the workload. This required a petrol zero turn mower in the form of a Walker MT and a petrol backpack blower. Battery technology has not yet progressed to the point where electric equipment is available to completely replace these type of petrol machines. Rather than turn away work or remain unable to service these type of jobs we decided it was necessary to add these petrol machines to our lineup.
From day one our top priority has been customer service and providing the highest quality finish possible. More recently with the rise of the “lawn porn” and “lawn fanatic” phenomenon interest has grown in cylinder mowing and high end, pristine turf areas particularly in residential settings. This has increased again during the Covid-19 pandemic as people have been spending much more time at home, realising the importance of a green space that they can really enjoy. At the same time many people have started to recognise the benefits of electric equipment - particularly the low noise output. Whether working from home or simply relaxing, your home is your sanctuary and shouldn’t be disturbed by loud, noisy and smelly equipment on a regular basis.
To meet this growing demand we decided to offer cylinder mowing and in true Volt Mowing style we were proud to once again lead with an Australian-first in the form of the very first Allett C27 Evolution commercial lithium cylinder mower. The very first machine in Australia was delivered in December 2021. At the same time we rededicated ourselves to the goal of offering a 100% electric service with all of our mowers now being commercial grade lithium electric models.
We are excited by our new focus on high end cylinder mowed lawns and look forward to creating and maintaining amazing lawns across Brisbane whether in a residential, strata or commercial setting. Owner/OperatorWith an artistic flair and a background in graphic design Conrad knows what looks good and how to achieve it. Years of experience and a constant desire to learn and improve has resulted in a continual increase in the quality of work and results delivered. Attention to detail has always been at the core of how he operates which suits lawn and garden work nicely as he is known for paying attention to the smaller things that really help lift the standard of a job.

Meet the team behind Volt Mowing. Conrad started out as a solo operator. Along the way boy met girl and it became a family affair. Many different team members have leant a hand over the years and helped us to where we are today.
